Will Nickolson

 Hello all! My name is Will, and currently I'm studying Information Systems Management and Asian Studies (Japanese) at Auburn University. Before starting my journey at Auburn, I attended Vestavia Hills High School and participated in Public Forum Debate. To this day, I still contribute to the organization as a Judge for various tournaments. Once I got to Auburn, however, I decided that I should follow my passion for technology and declared my Major in Information Systems. Ever since I decided on doing Information Systems, I’ve looked forward to pursuing the Cybersecurity side of things. My academic pursuits, when combined with my desire to learn more about cyber, have equipped me with a great foundation in the field. As a member of the Auburn Ethical Hacking club, as well as some other groups, I’ve gotten to practice what I’ve absorbed in some real world scenarios. From these affiliations, I’ve participated in CTFs, War Driving competitions, weekly lectures about various cyber topics, and SECCDC. In addition to those groups, I've also been studying on TryHackMe to learn more with hands-on tasks. Through said site, I’ve really gotten a foothold in the workings of Windows, Linux, and a multitude of applications/tools on both operating systems.
